Inverness Club is one of the great American championship courses hosting 4 US Open, 2 PGA Championships and slew of other top amateur tournaments. Our outing at Inverness Club started the night before where the club historian gave us a inside look at the founding and history of the club.
The course measures 7800 from the back tees, the course received a make over by the Donald Ross specialist Andrew Green putting the course back to being a premium on shot making. Bob Tway’s bunker shot on the 18th to beat Greg Normal in 1986 would almost be impossible now given the depths and faces of the bunkers.
