Pasatiempo is an Alistair Mackenzie masterpiece that opened in 1929, the idea for Pasatiempo came from Marion Hollins when she was working for the Pebble Beach Company and was in charge of developing Cypress Point Golf Club she met and secured Dr Mackenzie for the project. The bunkering at Pasatiempo is only second to Cypress Point and the greens rival the surfaces of Augusta. For all you Mackenzie fans this is the course that you want to play, you’ll gain a good understanding of what his bunkers and greens are really like. One of the best visual courses you can play outside of a scenic ocean or mountain course, you’ll enjoy your round here and if you can avoid 3 putting consider yourself lucky. The Par 3 holes here are especially tricky all 4 have surrounding bunkers and nasty green slopes, get out of position on these holes are you work hard for your par.
